House Beautiful Whole Home 2025

The House Beautiful Whole Home in Austin is a masterclass in how architecture can lean into its environment while maintaining a sophisticated, editorial edge. Collaborating with the team at Visual Comfort allowed me to capture how intentional lighting serves as the thread connecting these diverse, designer-led spaces. From the sculptural pendants in the kitchen to the refined sconces and chandeliers that define each bedroom's unique character, my focus was on highlighting the structural lines and defining the volume of each room. By "reading" the design intent behind the "Treetop Social Club" concept, I used the natural and fixture-led light to reveal the rich textures and bold palettes that make this home so resonant.

Documenting the layers of light throughout this project provided a brilliant opportunity to showcase how Visual Comfort’s architectural and decorative collections work in tandem to create a specific mood. Whether it was the soft glow in the "Pause Parlor" or the dramatic symmetry found in the primary suite, each composition was framed to respect the materials and the flow of the build. Finding the strongest perspectives to tell the story of this modern Austin sanctuary was a spot-on experience, emphasizing how elevated lighting can transform a space from a simple structure into an immersive environment. Cheers to a successful project that truly celebrates the intersection of craft and design.
