Barton Parkway

The Barton Parkway project stands as a masterclass in architectural restraint and environmental dialogue. Collaborating with Chris Cobb Architecture and Simply Home, I found myself navigating a space where midcentury-inspired geometry meets the organic textures of the Austin landscape. My primary objective was to "read" the architectural rhythm—using light as a quiet collaborator to define the volume of the cantilevered overhangs and the precise masonry. By framing the bold, iconic yellow door against the muted, refined tones of the facade, we were able to anchor the home’s identity within its leafy site, ensuring each composition respected the original design intent and the structural balance of the build.

Moving through the interior, the collaboration with Simply Home revealed an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. The visual pathing from the light-filled entryway into the warm, wood-clad living spaces provided a series of brilliant perspectives that celebrate both form and materiality. In these frames, I focused on highlighting the structural lines and the way natural light reveals the grain and grit of the materials used. It was a spot-on experience to document a project where the builder’s execution so perfectly mirrors the architect’s vision, resulting in a residence that feels both editorial and deeply livable. Cheers to a project that proves how intentionality transforms a structure into a sanctuary.
