CLIENTs: Eire Artisan Plasters
Light becomes the primary medium in the Woodmont project, where Eire Artisan Plasters applied a masterful touch to transform quiet interior surfaces into dynamic, tactile landscapes. Photographing plasterwork requires a deliberate reliance on shadow and reflection—allowing gentle rake light from the skylights and floor-to-ceiling iron windows to sweep across the walls, revealing the subtle trowel marks and velvety depth beneath. From the seamless sweep of the curved staircase to the softly illuminated barrel arches and shower enclosures, every surface demonstrates how hand-applied plaster softens structural geometry while giving a home its soul.
Collaborating with the team at Eire Artisan Plasters underscored how deeply material craft shapes spatial atmosphere. Finding the right compositions was about balancing these rich, organic textures against the crisp lines of dramatic Calacatta marble accents, warm oak floors, and deep-set window frames. By allowing the natural, shifting sunlight to trace the contours of each room, the images capture a quiet stillness and an enduring sense of craft. It was a brilliant experience documenting work where the finish isn't merely a backdrop, but the hero of the entire design narrative. Cheers to a remarkable project.
