CLIENTs: Align Austin Architects, Tipler Group

There is a distinct satisfaction in documenting a project where the geometry and site integration are so clearly intentional. This recent collaboration with Align Austin Architects and Tipler Group offered a masterclass in modern Texas design. The home’s exterior is a brilliant play on texture, where the warmth of the wood-clad soffits meets the sharp, clean profile of the metal roofing. My focus was to find the specific perspectives that honored the house’s connection to the landscape, allowing the soft dusk light to define the volume of the structure while showcasing the rhythmic symmetry of the poolside elevations.

Moving inside, the visual path is guided by an impressive scale that remains remarkably intimate. The Tipler Group’s commitment to material honesty is spot on, particularly in the expansive living areas where the stone masonry grounds the airy, light-filled rooms. In every composition, from the play of light across the vaulted ceilings to the precise alignment of the cabinetry, we aimed to reveal the refined details that make this home an editorial standout.
