CLIENTs: Align Austin Architects, Tipler Group

It was brilliant to get back out into the field to document this recent project, a collaboration that truly honors the design intent of the landscape. Working alongside Align Austin Architects and the Tipler Group, our goal was to find the specific perspectives where the home’s geometry meets the rugged texture of the Texas Hill Country. The structural lines of the weathered wood siding and the smooth, refined plaster volumes create a sophisticated balance, especially as the natural light shifts to define the volume of the outdoor galleries.

Inside, the visual path transitions seamlessly into a series of elevated living spaces where materials take center stage. From the deep, intentional tones of the kitchen cabinetry to the way the sunlight reveals the grain in the wood-clad walls, every composition was chosen to showcase the scale and craft provided by the build team. It is always a pleasure to "read" a plan this well-executed and translate that story into a cohesive portfolio.
