CLIENT: Havan Retreat

The shoot at Havan Retreat was a brilliant exercise in capturing the intersection of eclectic design and a truly commanding landscape. Perched on a 30-acre hilltop with 360-degree views of the Texas Hill Country and Lake Travis, the site’s geometry is defined by its relationship with the horizon. Working with designer Satrielle Newman, the goal was to find the visual path that honored the scale of the architecture while respecting the "intentionally curated" mood of the interiors. From the expansive outdoor wellness spaces to the layered, tactile common areas, every composition was chosen to highlight how the design anchors itself within the vastness of the surrounding terrain.

The interior palette at Havan is a masterclass in eclectic refinement, blending rich neutrals and diverse textures that give the 12,000-square-foot space a grounded, soulful atmosphere. We focused on capturing the flow between the open-concept gathering rooms and the more intimate, moody retreats—like the dark-toned guest cabin—ensuring the lighting revealed the depth of the materials rather than just the volume of the rooms. It was a pleasure to translate Satrielle’s design intent into a portfolio that feels as restorative and sophisticated as the retreat itself.
